Native Americans believe that animals have much to teach us as they are messengers of Great Spirit.. In Native American Culture a Power Totem Animal is an animal symbol that is there to guide them through their entire life.. There are three other types of totems: A Journey Totem that is with you for a period or phase of your life perhaps anywhere from a week to a year.. A Visiting Totem who comes briefly with a message for the moment. It could be like a gentle nudge or a slap in the face calling us to awaken to a certain situation... A Shadow Totem is an animal who initially you may fear. They represent the hidden side of yourself and will soon become your allies after certain initiations giving you the opportunity to overcome your fears... How do I know who my Totem Animal is?... Totem animals come through to people in many ways including:.. Asking spiritual animal power cards which are a set of cards with different animals created especially for exploring the lessons they have to teach us... Seeing a particular animal all the time ie. in books, when your out walking, on sign posts. Having a favourite animal or one that you are particularly drawn to, especially when going on spiritual journeys..... An interesting way to discover which animals medicine you could learn from is to pick up a wild life book and with your eyes closed and the intent of finding your totem animal open it up seeing what page it opens to... You may come across the hair or feathers of a certain animal on a medative walk... You may hear the call of an animal and be intrigued to learn whose call it was ( maybe whilst walking with the intend of a spiritual quest to find your power animal) You can call on the power of a particular animal to assist you in any area of your life... For example if you would like assistance bringing abundance into your life call on buffalo... This short list will help you discover why you are drawn to certain animals and the gifts they bring you... Bear.... Bear is known for its period of hibernation. Bear can help us with the ability to turn inward to access our strength and honor your nature cycles. He teaches us when it is time to act and when it is time to be still. Beaver.... Has an amazing ability to build and create. Beavers can help you solve problems by creating solid solutions Coyote... Is known as the trickster. He calls on us to look truthfully at our selves and our behavior. Crow...... a messenger, keeper of sacred law who sees with a unified eye (non-duality) Deer... Deer is alert and a symbol of sensitivity and kindness. Dolphin.... Dolphins are messengers between water and sky. They are playful and intelligent. They bring the message of harmony and balance. Eagle.. A symbol of freedom and perspective. As a representation of great spirit eagle carries our prayers to the sky. He teaches us to fly. Elk.. Elk teaches about stamina, the importance of pacing yourself enabling you to successfully complete your chosen task Fox.. Is cunning and clever he moves with the utmost discretion. Fox teaches us to slow down and observe. Frog.. Assists with the cleansing of our emotions. With the element of water frog shows us how to start afresh. Hawk... A symbol of observation and awareness. Wild Wisdom
Since prehistoric times, animals have acted as companions to humans on their journey toward enlightenment. Animals as disparate in character as house pets, birds, sea creatures, and insects have been our mentors, teachers, and guides. There is much we can learn from animals, as they offer us the unique opportunity to transcend the human perspective. Unlike human teachers, animals can only impart their wisdom by example, and we learn from them by observation. An animal teacher can be a beloved pet or an animal in the wild. You may even find yourself noticing the animals in your backyard. Even robins and bumblebees have lessons to share with you. Animals teach us in a variety of ways about behavior, habit, and instinct. House pets embody an unconditional love that remains unchanged in the face of our shape, size, age, race, or gender. They care little for the differences between us and them and simply enjoy loving and being loved. Our pets encourage us to let our guards down, have fun, and take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy life. You can also learn lessons from the animals you encounter in the wild if you take the time to observe their habits. Cold-blooded animals show us adaptability and sensitivity to one’s environment. Mammals serve as examples of nurturing and playfulness. Animals that live in oceans, lakes, and rivers demonstrate the value of movement and grace. It is even possible to learn from insects that live in highly structured communities that everyone plays a vital role. Animals teach us about life, death, survival, sacrifice, and responsibility. If you find yourself drawn to a particular animal, ask yourself which of its traits you find most intriguing and think about how you might mimic those traits. Think of what you might learn from observing the little bird on your windowsill or the mosquito buzzing around a picnic table. Animals express themselves with abandon, freedom, and integrity. It’s natural to be drawn to the wisdom offered by our animal teachers, and in doing so, discover what is natural and true within you.

Aligning With Your Higher Self Susan
![](http://img.datehookup.com/Thumbnails/2008/07/23/20080723807232879678.jpg)
How to Connect With Your Higher Self through the Wisdom of Your Body Many people in the world today are running blindly, haphazardly seeking their elusive higher Self and purpose with frustration levels that border on insanity. They feel so disconnected from life, people, and their callings that they change directions over and over without thought or without pondering possible repercussions. They are fearful and anxious about life without knowing why, and this disconnection is a root cause of the present rampant pandemic of stress-related disorders. With this in mind, the intent of this article is to provide a method to help you align with your higher Self through the wisdom of your body, and to recognize this connection when you achieve it. Once you align in this way, you are forever empowered. Your purpose becomes clear, you are on track, and your life begins to embrace a flow of grace and ease. It is important to clarify at the onset that very few people know what it feels like to align with their higher Self. The idea of such personal clarity has plagued humankind from its patriarchal beginnings, though some obscured cultures have managed to retain some of their spiritual connectedness. The fact that you are among billions sharing the same spiritual conundrum should become a source of consolation as you bravely pursue that which few have obtained but which is possible. Your higher Self wants you to be happy and to feel connected all the time, though it may not always seem like it. You have been conditioned to believe that suffering and hardship are normal and necessary on the Earth plane, but this is not Truth. You have also been conditioned to turn inconsequential events into fierce dramas to fill your days, weeks, months, and years. Believing that hardship and drama are necessary makes it so, and know that there are good reasons for your conditioning. Your higher Self enjoys every experience that you have, but it also understands your earthly preferences and behavioral patterns that require more attention at the lower-frequency levels. Additionally, it is intimately aware of the lessons you incarnated to learn here and gently pushes you toward those goals. It holds all your secrets and strengths steadfastly, waiting for your claim, but it is in no hurry. It is always aware of your eternal and multidimensional nature, though you may not be aware of it. The key to aligning with your higher Self is very simple but rarely stated, mainly because such awareness is not encouraged widely at present. You align with your higher Self by intimately getting to know how your body feels when you are in alignment. Then, when you know that feeling, you work toward maintaining it by controlling the direction of your thoughts. All positive or negative bodily feelings are rooted in your thoughts, and these are either in alignment with your higher Self or not. When your body feels as good as it can be, your thoughts are in alignment with your higher Self; when your body feels “off” in any way, your thoughts are misaligned. That said, it is time to master the alignment key to move forward in your life. You have felt levels of joy, harmony, happiness, passion, peace, and exuberance in your life—no matter how fleeting—and it is at these times that you have been fully aligned with your higher Self. The difficulty is that people rarely think in terms of alignment when things are going their way. They are too busy enjoying life, which is, after all, the purpose of living. Usually people think in terms of alignment when they need it most, when it is most elusive. Alignment with the higher Self feels different for each individual, but the result is the same. You know you are in alignment when your heart feels open and your body feels as good as it gets. Sometimes you may not feel your body at all, feeling light as air or like a gently floating balloon. There may be a sense of well-being and connectedness in your body plus a spark of creation. Or you may feel sudden passion or happiness with a gentle tingle up your spine. No feeling is wrong. The bottom line is that you are on top of the world when you are in alignment with your higher Self, and your body mirrors this. Everything feels on course and you feel on purpose. Because conditioning along ancestral, cultural, familial, and systemic lines is often difficult to assess and transcend on a strictly mental level, your best, truest gift becomes how your body feels at any given time. Your body is the most sensitive instrument at your disposal for determining whether you are in alignment with your higher Self, and it will serve you in amazing ways to get to know it. To learn to align, you first identify the comfort or discomfort level in the most sensitive part(s) of your body. Many people discern best in the stomach and other parts of the digestive tract; digestive problems are overwhelmingly caused by a mis-alignment with higher Self. Others feel a heaviness, constriction, or pain at their heart when out of alignment. Still others experience tenseness in bodily areas like their shoulders or back. Some get headaches. What it ultimately comes down to is that your greatest bodily challenges are actually your greatest spiritual teachers. Once you sense discomfort in your body, you align with your higher Self through some form of relaxed meditation or time out. You need to take some quiet time to learn what your higher Self is trying to teach you through your body. During times of discomfort, lay back, relax, and surrender deeply so you can learn and grow. Bravely ask your higher Self what your body is trying to teach you and sense the answer. You may see, feel, hear, taste, or smell the answer, depending on your sensing proclivities. Your intuition may come forth boldly and you will suddenly just know. The answer may come right away or it may come later when you least expect it. It is imperative that you know that all questions are answered when you are ready, and no question put forth with honesty and benevolent intent is ignored.

Creative Visualization:
Now Playing: The Secret Of Creative Visualization
Topic: Visualization
Creative Visualization is a simple technique that works. Your thoughts are energy so what you can imagine you can create. The law of the Universe is the Law of Attraction or the Creating Principle. By using a simple Creative Visualization you can easily tap into the Universal Law and create for yourself what you desire. The subconscious mind cannot differentiate between what is real and what is imagined. So to get your desired results you might like to use the following creative visualization technique, which has proven to be very successful for hundreds of people. "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world" Albert Einstein "The secret to creative visualization is not to see yourself in your visualization but to see and feel your daydream or visualization as you would if you were really there." Once you see yourself in your creative visualization it will weaken it and sometimes you will see it happening for someone else. Practice creating your daydream with your five senses, sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch. Remember the way you feel or your emotions are very important to your success, happiness, joy and laughter. Creative visualization is easy and enjoyable and can manifest after only one session if you do it properly. You should affirm in front of the mirror every morning "I enjoy visualizing, I am excellent at visualization and it happens for me quickly for my good and the good of others". Creative Visualization Meditation Always set an intention first by saying "I enjoy creative visualization and I am now going to have a perfect visualization that will happen for me quickly for my good and the good of others". You might find it beneficial to sit down first in a comfortable chair and have a book or magazine to read or play some relaxing music. I find reading helps me to relax easily. If you lie down you may fall asleep and this would defeat your purpose. Concentrate on your breathing and count slowly in rhythm with your breathing. The use of the Pranayama yoga breathing technique is very effective. Count to about 10 but do not worry if you feel you are not completely relaxed but move on as your will go into a state of deeper relaxation when you continue. Now take a few moments to enjoy the following creative visualization meditation before you create your own. 'Imagine that you are walking down some old stone steps you can actually feel your feet on the stairs feel each foot pressing on the steps as you go down. You are counting the steps as you go down there are twenty steps ahead of you. You reach the bottom of the steps and start walking through a forest or wood where the sunlight is filtering down through the canopy of trees above you. It is a lovely spring day and you see a vine covered in beautiful white flowers, you touch one of the flowers and notice that it has a pale yellow centre, you breathe in an intoxicating and beautiful perfume. You come to an enchanting lake where you see a waterfall cascading down from the cliff above. You can hear the rush of the water as it tumbles into the lake below. Upon the lake there are beautiful and majestic white swans as you approach they look up towards you, you notice that one of them has 2 young babies near her. You see a wild strawberries growing you pick one and eat it savoring its texture and sweetness. You see a small rabbit watching you on the path ahead. He scurries away as you get closer. You are really enjoying yourself. You feel contented and happy. In the distance you notice tall mountains ahead, covered in mist so their tops are hidden from your view. You keep walking and now you walk right into your own visualization. If you would like to be on holidays you might like to start with actually getting on the plane and how excited you are. You are at the beach, see the beach, feel the warm sun on your body and water rushing over you. The smell of the sea the sound of the waves rolling in along the endless shore. Actually feel yourself there and someone saying to you what a wonderful holiday you are both having. Eating and icecream or something you really enjoy. You are really there and thoroughly enjoying yourself. The emotions and how you feel are very important. Remember you feel wonderful, happy and relaxed you are there now. Live in the moment. You can then affirm "I now leave this to the Universe to create for me easily and quickly." Positive Affirmation Why Affirmations are so important by Og Mandino author of The Greatest Salesman in the World. "Herein lies the hidden secret of all man's accomplishments. As I repeat the words daily they will soon become a part of my active mind, but more importantly, they will also seep into my other mind, that mysterious source which never sleeps, which creates my dreams, and often makes me act in ways I do not comprehend". Daily affirmations should be said 20 times in the morning and 20 times before you go to sleep. Put 20 beads on a string and slip each one through your fingers and in this way you do not have to count. You should affirm every morning in the mirror "I enjoy visualization, I am excellent at visualization and it happens for me quickly for my good and the good of others." You can choose an affirmation such as: "I am now enjoying a wonderful and relaxing holiday" or "Money is now freely flowing into my life." Write your affirmations where you can see them everyday. Put them up in your bedroom. There are many free positive affirmations that you can say and can be found on the internet or you can create your own. Always affirm in the present. "I Won 42 Thousand Dollars using Visualization" I once visualized myself winning a large sum of money which I did as I won over $42,000. At the time I was extremely happy to win this money but more intrigued as to how the creative visualization had happened so accurately. That the visualization I had was exactly how I won the money down to the smallest of details and that it had manifested itself in 6 days. I then started to visualize frequently and in this way was able to go on to create other things which I desired including material possessions but also creating a better life for myself. I have proven that you only have to visualize what you desire once and once only. If you have correctly visualized it will then manifest for you. Everything anyone has created in life has been visualized first, from buildings, houses, cars, holidays, our deepest desires. That is why it is also important to visualize good things for ourselves or others. We should not visualize negative things happening for ourselves or our family which we are inclined to do especially when our children are teenagers. We start to visualize them in car accidents or having problems in their lives. So we start to create this and then you will hear a parent say that they knew that was going to happen after their children have been in an accident for instance. Create wonderful things for them and realize that people have a habit of living up to our expectations of them. May your Creative Visualization manifest easily and quickly! Happy Daydreams...
