Sometimes
we put walls up not to keep people out but to see who cares enough to knock them down.
My
life journey has not been an ordinary one or an easy one but it has been a blessed one.
"Against The Wind" got it's beginning way back in my younger 20's as a healing journal.
By the time I reached adulthood my memories had been so far recessed and the fear
to remember or talk about my previous life made it difficult for even Doctors to help me. It was through one of
their suggestions that I began a journal to express my feelings and memories on paper that my book got it's beginning.
"Against The Wind" has been a lifetime project and I hope to see it completed and
published in 2010.
The purpose of publishing it is that I know there are many other adult adoptee's out there
that have experienced similar life experiences and it is my desire that through reading my book it will help someone
in some small way.
I've never thought of myself as a "victim" only as a mighty warrior, a champion, a survivor.
God walking beside me, I've won every battle life has thrown at me.
Life can sometimes hit us in the head with a ton of bricks at any age. Sometimes
we cannot control what life throws at us, but we can control our actions and how we react to what life
gives us to work with.
We can choose to overcome, be victorius, be a champion survivor OR we can choose
to take on the victims demeanor wallowing in self pity for what life brought us.
My hope for all of us is that we become Champions in life. God took a bad life situation
and turned it into something good for me.
Without my life experiences I propably would never have dedicated my life to
being a healer working with people who are suffering. My life experiences have made it easier for me to understand
and relate to those who are in pain.
I
live with my little animal companion, Spike in Texas. Retired, I now work as a minister practitioner in a healing ministry.
My
